My girlfriend and I attended the Gastown Mavi store opening last night. We needed a cocktail to start the evening of schmoozing which may or may not have been the best plan of action. In true Mavi party style the comp wine was free flowing and the trays of nibbles were being passed. Friends shouldn't let friends drink and shop that's just good sense. Blo was on hand demonstrating that every woman deserves a happy ending too. Because we both have impeccable good taste we tried on the the wide leg "Cora" jeans. Rumor has it (we had a very good source) that the "Cora" is named after the fabulous party planner ummm Cora. I tried on the light summer wash, and my pal tried on the dark wash. We both loved them. We also both purchased a super adorable butterfly summer dress in navy blue with a ruffle hem detail. Decided that with a waist belt this is going to be an instant summer staple. Of course the swag bags we're not disappointing. Filled with coupons, M by Mariah Carry perfume sample that came with a full size lip gloss that I actually really do like...a Mavi tank top, mascara, full size OPI nail polish and other bits of goodness.
