glamour dust

My girlfriend and I decided to get off the west end island and head to Main to check out Spend On Trend. Spend On Trend (Heritage Hall 3102 Main Street) is a market set up once a year to showcase local independent talent. 2 standouts in my books were Adhesif. This lady as serious knack to mix and match. Everything is creatively combined to connect a sense of unity but it's not stuffy or matchy matchy. Elroy impressed me as well when it came to price point. Beautifully structured pieces that I could see fitting into both a woman's corporate 9-5 or as a weekend look. And of course both companies use recycled or sustainable material.

While on Main I must visit Front & Company which sadly fell victim to a fire Friday night and all three shops shut down. We still managed to get in some shopping. I scored a vintage leather purse for $12 that can be converted from an across the body to an oversized clutch. I also found a light grey smock dress at Lip Lounge for a $10 bargain. I didn't spend on trend but I did manage to find a few little things. Oh and my GF purchased 2 punchy colourful vintage scarfs. Just a few little things to brighten the day.

Then it was back to the island to meet my up with friends at the local drag queen show for a little sprinkling of glamour dust.
