I haven't been so excited for a shop in Yaletown since well never. Raw Canvas (1046 Hamilton) now gives me a good reason to go. Unique to the city this coffee shop/art studio offers delicious treats and a chance to explore your inner artist. It works like this purchase a canvas (small $50, medium $65 or large $80) have it set up on one of the custom designed easels, throw on a smock and pick your paint. All the supplies are well supplied. The owners Paige and Steve are wonderfully friendly and will help you get on your way. Friday nights they have live music (yes that's actual instruments you've been hearing in Yaletown). Just take a gander at the masterpiece my BF and I created. It's magic.
