I've had a huge desire lately to have green stuff around me. I really would love to have a community garden plot but with the scarce availability in the downtown area I'm stuck with my planter boxes and indoor greens.

I planted lavender in my window box, and managed to salvage some rosemary that was in there from last year as well as some ivy and an unidentified purple flower that was too pretty to dig up. I also had a few succulents that were still thriving from last year. I transplanted them into a clay pot with a few new chick & hens that i purchased this year. I had enough left overs to make a mini terrarium. My grandmother had a huge terrarium when I was a kid and I was convinced that little animals lived in their.

I also have a little green "vignette" in my hallway. My Christmas cactus is still alive! I hope it blooms again this Christmas. I'm very excited that it's peony season...I'm heading to Granville Island today so hopefully I can buy some!
