bike and garden

I've decided that the two things I need in my life right now to make it complete is a vintage bike with a wicker basket and a community garden plot. Sounds easy enough but I'm a little too late on the community garden idea as it looks like most gardens in my neighborhood are already full. There are only 5 community gardens in the downtown area. I guess my window box will have to do this summer.

I was home visiting my parents over the weekend and my dad fixed up an amazing vintage bike for my mom. I've posted the "before" picture. He installed a basket and a personalized license plate. Too cute. I took it for a spin and I'm hooked! I'm not sure why it's taken me this long to really want a bike but I really want an authentic vintage one with the chrome fenders, big curved handle bars and seat with the springs. My dad is going to keep his eye out for me...I've also been searching craigslist.
